Epiroc has launched the new-generation PowerROC T25 surface drill rig, offering notable improvements for quarry and aggregate operations.

SUPERIOR EFFICIENCY

The new-generation PowerROC T25 surface drill rig sets a new standard for efficiency and ease of operation, featuring the latest PowerROC control system.

“The new PowerROC T25 delivers enhanced performance along with superior efficiency. We are very excited to add this upgraded drill rig to the PowerROC family,” comments Sivakumar Devarajan, Senior Manager – Marketing for the Epiroc Surface Division.

Designed to optimise performance whilst reducing fuel consumption, the intelligent system automatically adjusts engine speed to the most efficient level, ensuring power output always matches real-time drilling demands.

All operational data is displayed on a 12-inch screen, creating a more intuitive user experience and aligning operation and data analysis with other PowerROC models, including the PowerROC T35 MKII and PowerROC T45 MKII.

STEP-CHANGE IN ENGINEERING PROJECTS

At the heart of the machine is the new cabin, representing a major step forward in operator comfort and productivity. The upgraded cabin delivers improved visibility, enhanced comfort and ergonomics, and reduced noise and vibration levels, helping to create a safer, more comfortable, and more productive working environment.

The PowerROC T25 is powered by a new Volvo diesel engine delivering 129 kilowatts (173 horsepower), available in both Tier 3 and Tier 4 Final/Stage 5 versions. This dependable, high-performance engine provides the power required for construction and civil engineering projects, as well as small aggregate and limestone quarrying operations.

To maximise versatility, the PowerROC T25 is available in both long-feed and short-feed versions, allowing operators to handle different drilling depths in a single pass.

“The modular design of the new PowerROC T25 further simplifies maintenance and streamlines spare parts inventory.

“At Epiroc, we are committed to continuously accelerating the transformation – and this new rig is an important step in that direction,” Devarajan adds.
